Companies |
The companies listed look for the best programmers and work on very hard problems, with solutions that will affect millions of people. They are wicked-smart people who know the value of community, but also know when to back off and give people space to work. Most of all, our companies trust their employees. And yes, they give great salary and pretty good perks, too. The list of companies is not out yet; companies will be revealed in batches throughout the month of December. |

Overview |
CodeSprint is a coding contest designed to streamline the job hunt for programmers. Instead of applying to 65 companies individually, work your noggin on a single set of interesting and tough coding challenges in a 48 hour period to get interview calls from these awesome companies! Unlike the first CodeSprint, CodeSprint 2 will be open to everyone. |
|
Eligibility |
CodeSprint 2 will be open to everyone. International programmers and programmers looking for internships are welcome to participate. We will release the list of positions and whether they will accept international programmers / interns when the contest starts. We also have a small but significant minority of companies located across the globe. With that said, to keep ourselves with a clear conscience, we should also inform you that the United States has reached its cap on H1-B visas for the upcoming 2012 year, so the soonest you'd be able to start with the H1-B visa is the beginning of the next fiscal year, October 2012. |

Problems |
This edition of CodeSprint will introduce Real World Problems. As the name implies, Real World Problems are challenges that CodeSprint companies have actually faced and solved (in the engineering sense of the word). The end result is a problem set that is more interesting, more varied, and more useful in assessing. Read more about Real World Problems For those of you that enjoyed the old problem set, don't worry: We'll still have a good number of algorithmic problems for you as well. View the problems for CodeSprint Fall 2011 For algorithmic problems, you can use C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Haskell, Scala or Clojure to submit your solutions. Please refer to our FAQ for language version and environment. (Sorry, no NumPy for you Pythonistas) For Real World Problems, you'll be given an Amazon Machine Instance to work with, so you'll have no language restrictions. |
